It is with profound sadness that the Wyoming, Iowa community and all who knew him mourn the passing of Owen M. Doll, a devoted son, loving brother, and proud member of the Iowa National Guard. Owen, 23, of Monticello, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, leaving family, friends, and the community heartbroken over the loss of a young man whose life, though tragically brief, touched so many.
Born on January 14, 2003, at Jackson County Hospital to Michelle Doll, Owen grew up in the Wyoming area and graduated from Midland High School, where he was known for his dedication, humility, and strong sense of loyalty. He carried these qualities throughout his life, whether serving his country as a National Guard member, spending time outdoors, or supporting his friends and family in meaningful ways.
Owen was a young man of simple pleasures, finding joy in hunting, fishing, farming, and working on his truck. His laid-back personality, unwavering work ethic, and generous heart made him someone others could always rely on. He valued genuine connections and had the rare gift of making those around him feel appreciated and supported.
He is survived by his fiancée, Lindsey Pineschi; his parents, Michelle (Uwe Sauer) Doll; his brothers, Samuel, Spencer, and Benjamin; his grandparents, Joyce and Thomas Doll; his uncle, Scott (Kelly) Doll; his aunts, Kristina Doll and Delaina (Chad) Snyder; and siblings Tandilyn Cain, Aaron Cain, and Matt Sauer. Owen was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
A celebration of Owen’s life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Calkins Barn in Wyoming, where family, friends, and community members will gather to honor his memory. Military honors will be accorded to recognize his service and dedication to the country he loved.
Memorials may be directed to the family in his honor, and those wishing to express condolences or share memories can do so through Dawson Funeral Services. Owen M. Doll will be remembered not only for his accomplishments and service but for the warmth, loyalty, and kindness he extended to everyone in his life. His legacy of devotion, courage, and love will remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
